Grants

We offer a range of grants to support Victoria's multicultural and multifaith communities.

Multicultural grants

Our grants programs support communities to:

  • celebrate and share their culture and traditions
  • build social and cultural connections, community partnerships and leadership
  • improve multicultural and multifaith community infrastructure
  • better engage and support newly arrived migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum
  • identify and respond to racial and religious intolerance and discrimination.

Grant programs are run throughout the year, with different application periods.

Multicultural Venues Program

The program offers grants to multicultural community organisations towards venue hire for the purpose of regular community or organisation activities.

Multicultural Seniors Support Program

Grants of $2,000 are available each year to eligible multicultural seniors’ organisations for 2026–28.

Please note: Department of Premier and Cabinet's Multicultural Affairs Division (Multicultural Affairs) merged with the Victorian Multicultural Commission on 1 October 2026 to become Multicultural and Multifaith Victoria (MMV).

Multicultural Festivals and Events Program

Grants of up to $50,000 available to support multicultural festivals and events

Local Anti-Racism Initiatives grant program

Grants of up to $40,000 (GST exclusive) are available to support community-led responses to racism.

Multicultural Infrastructure and Security Program

Grants of up to $400,000 are available to maintain, upgrade, and secure multicultural community infrastructure.
