The GECC 2018 Multicultural Festival will run over two days in Latrobe City. Day 1 is on the eve of Refugee Week (Saturday 16 June 2018) in the LV Maltese Community Centre on Henry Street, Morwell, which is the site for their new museum. This event, running from approximately 10.00am to 4.00pm, will showcase 40 years of history and culture - miniature architectural models, cooking demonstrations, lace making, traditional Maltese Pastizzi, other food and drink. Day 2 is on the first day of Refugee Week (Sunday 17 June 2018) at Kernot Hall, Morwell. The Multicultural Parade, a procession led by the RSL Sale Pipe band is to occur around 12.30pm. There will be local artists/ethnic groups and some from Melbourne performing at the festival, and there will also be food stalls and entertainment. Feel free to wear traditional or cultural dress and participate in the Multicultural Parade. Day 2 runs from approzimately 10.30am to 3.30pm.
