Better Health Channel
The Better Health Channel offers clear, concise information on most medical issues. Visit www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au
Women's Health Information Centre
The Royal Women's Hospital offers a free, confidential, state-wide health service through the Women's Health Information Centre (WHIC). Experienced women's health nurses and midwives are available by telephone or email. Information is available in a range of languages other than English and interpreters are available. Health Translations Directory
In June 2003, the government launched the Health Translations Directory (HTD) a web-based directory of health-related translated information. The HTD currently links to over 11,000 resources in 65 languages. The website is designed principally for use by health practitioners working with non-English speaking clients. Visit the
Justice Translations Directory
Managed by the Department of Justice, the Justice Translations Directory is an on-line repository of all translated justice information available in Victoria. The Directory is aimed at helping intermediaries (e.g. legal professionals) find translated justice information on behalf of clients from non-English speaking backgrounds.
