All of Us - Victoria's Multicultural Policy
Victoria's new Multicultural Policy - All of Us, was launched on 14 March by Premier John Brumby at the beginning of Cultural Diversity Week. The policy sets out a framework for continuing to strengthen and promote multiculturalism across the state. All of Us was developed after extensive community consultation and is built on a strong foundation of partnerships, harmonious community relations, advocacy and supportive programs. Local Councils in Multicultural Victoria
The 'Local Councils in Multicultural Victoria: Vision and Growth’ conference was held in November 2007, with delegates from the Local government sector, State and Federal government and the community sector. The conference facilitated a stocktake of local councils’ progress and achievements in responding to ethnic diversity and outlined a broad set of principles about how local government can continue its commitment to cultural diversity planning and delivery in the future.
