Share your story
This year’s Cultural Diversity Week ‘Our journey, Our stories’ calls on Victorians to share the story of their cultural heritage and identity. You’re part of this journey, so what’s your story?
Join us to share your story on social media as part of “I remember…”
Tell a story about one thing you own that shares a special memory from your past that symbolises your cultural heritage or identity.
Is it one of your grandmother’s plates used to share jewelled rice at Iranian family dinners?
Is it the rosary beads you inherited from your aunt of Bosnian heritage and Christian faith?
Is it the mah-jong set given to you as birthday gift from your cousin with a Chinese background?
How to share your story
- Log into Instagram or Facebook
- Post an image with a story of about 100 words that tells people why the thing captured in the image reminds you of your cultural heritage or identity.
- Don’t forget to add the hashtag #myvicstory and tag @multiculturevic
