Free Road Safety Program at South Kingsville Community Centre

South Kingsville Community Centre in Melbourne’s west is now welcoming expressions of interest for its free Road Safety Program.

With a focus on new Australians, the Centre encourages participation from those who meet the following criteria:

  • aged 21 years old and over;
  • have lived in Australia for five years or less; and
  • have a learner’s permit.

The program will run for six weeks starting in October 2017 and includes two driving lessons.

Participants will learn important driving skills such as how to drive safely and understand traffic signs and rules, and learn how to share the road as a driver, pedestrian, cyclist or public transport user.

The program is a collaboration between South Kingsville Community Centre, VicRoads and Hobsons Bay City Council for a safer road environment towards zero accidents and the Road Safety Program is supported by the VicRoads Community Road Safety Grant.

Contact South Kingsville Community Centre by calling (03) 9399 3000 or emailing programs@skcc.net.au to express interest or ask questions and find out more at the Centre’s website.
