State-wide Community Consultations on Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship
Each year, the VMC holds a series of community consultations to provide an open forum for comment on the Victorian Government’s current programs, services and policies, as outlined in Victorian Government Initiatives and Reporting in Multicultural Affairs 2010-2011.
The consultations are an opportunity for the VMC to share information on key developments in multicultural affairs, and provide feedback to you on matters raised at last year’s consultations.
The community consultations are an integral part of the Whole-of-Victorian-Government reporting process, which is enshrined in the Multicultural Victoria Act 2011 (MVA). You are encouraged to examine Victorian Government Initiatives and Reporting in Multicultural Affairs 2010-2011 and to attend a community consultation close to you.
There will be twelve consultations across the state with the first commencing on 19 September and concluding on 25 October 2012.
This year, three city-based specific consultations have been included in the program:
Women Only, 19 September 2012
Youth (between 16 and 30 years), 27 September 2012
Peak Organisations and Service Providers, 25 October 2012
Please view this form to find the closest and most appropriate consultation suitable for you.
If you are unable to attend a consultation, or if you would like to make a direct submission to the VMC, please complete a written submission form in any language and return it to the VMC before Monday 29 October 2012.
To confirm your attendance at a community consultation please fax a reply slip
to the VMC on (03) 9651 0612 or email it to
at least one week prior to the consultation you wish to attend.
